For Museumnacht010, Kunstinstituut Melly and Radio Tornado present a musical program that celebrates inclusive and diverse listening experiences. Local and international talent come together for an evening that combines live performances with electronic music.
A central live component is provided by Ripa na Tulipa, a Brazilian bloco band based in Rotterdam, known for their vibrant percussion and samba rhythms. Formed by Codarts alumni, the ensemble performs around a central table, creating an immersive and energetic experience. In Brazilian tradition, a “bloco” is a close-knit group of musicians who play together to sustain a festive atmosphere through drums, percussion, and often brass instruments.
Complementing the live performance, Radio Tornado curates a DJ set exploring world music and disco. The Radio Tornado program runs from 22:00 to 01:00.
