The Princess and the Pea | Regula Maria Müller

The Princess and the Pea | Regula Maria Müller

Come and sit on the felt lounge cushions from Regula Maria Müller at Phoebus during Museumnacht010. In a fairytale atmosphere you listen to the soft songs of singer Sofie Ijzerman. Chef Floris Ebinger makes healthy, delicious appetizers: 'Around the Pea'.

The theme of the evening and the exhibition is Anderson's fairy tale from 1835: the Princess and the Pea. The princess who is allowed to marry the prince is found, after a number of striving ladies did not feel the pea under many pillows. But the simple, poor girl felt the pea under 20 pillows! The couple married and lived happily ever after. The story teaches: don't judge people based on the outside.

In the exhibition you will find a stack of embroidered lounge cushions. And beautiful photos with pea plants on the walls. There are woven cushions with large glass peas, inspired by Finnish motifs, blown in the National Glass Museum.

The combination of materials is free, open, unexpected, Regula's imagination is historically and geographically limitless. The love for nature is also unlimited and everything with a wink.
