During Museumnacht, Natalia Papaeva and Sophia Bulgakova transform Garage into a site for reflection. Papaeva opens the evening with What Will This Circle Bring This Time?, a performance inspired by the Buryat ritual of goroo, where circular movement, sound, and small resonant objects become gestures of remembrance, accumulation, and presence. Performed only once, the evening marks its European premiere.
Simultaneously, Bulgakova activates the facade of Garage for the night with we all woke up today from some kind of explosions, a work drawn from personal messages exchanged during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The piece reflects on how personal and collective memory intertwine, making distant realities felt within shared public space.
Together, the two create a fragile yet powerful environment where movement and memory come together.
