Garage Rotterdam

Address

Goudsewagenstraat 27, 3011 RH Rotterdam, Netherlands

Garage Rotterdam is a medium-sized exhibition space for contemporary art. Located in a unique location in the center of Rotterdam, an old Volkswagen Garage was transformed in 2011 by architect Remy Meijers into a 500m2 non-profit art space with a coffee bar. Garage Rotterdam programs four quality exhibitions a year, off ering a stage to local and international talent. The exhibitions – thematic in nature – are curated by different curators who are associated with Garage Rotterdam for 1.5 years with a total of three exhibitions. The exhibition program is complemented by a carefully curated public program, in which depth is central. Fuel is a recurring substantive program accompanying the exhibitions of Garage Rotterdam; with lectures, conversations, music and performances. During the culinary evening Natafelen, chef Marnix Benschop prepares a delicious four-course menu. Before and after dinner there is always the opportunity to visit the exhibition. *Image: Bas Czerwinski*
