After eight years, The Darwinists are back at Het Natuurhistorisch. Where they previously provided a mesmerising musical accompaniment to swirling flocks of starlings, they now take things a step further. The evolution of their music takes center stage in The Blind Music Maker.
Together with the audience, they create a soundtrack inspired by the process of evolution, shaped by emerging patterns. Musical motifs arise, transform, and reorganise themselves, much like patterns in nature. It is precisely the combination of image, sound, and collective collaboration between musician and visitor that makes it a fully organic process in which structure gradually grows out of seeming randomness.
