Girls just wanna have fun! The Maritime Museum Rotterdam is the perfect place for a ‘Girls Night Out’ (m/f/x) during Museumnacht010. Come dance with the dj, get your hair or nails done (all genders), and enjoy a delicious cocktail before getting inspired by the packed program.
The latest exhibition Maritime Women puts women from the past and present in the spotlight. For centuries, women have sailed ships, run shipyards, or worked in the harbor or fishing industry. Some even became pirates! During Museumnacht010, you can meet these women of the past and present in person. You can also participate in creative workshops or be inspired by the stories behind the stories.
At the exhibitions Launch! and Offshore Experience, you can test your maritime skills with a variety of games. And Station Horizon in Destination Port City offers a glimpse into the future, right next to the punter. This small boat was used as building material in the construction of the dam in the Rotte, marking the beginning of our cosmopolitan city.
At midnight sharp, we'll celebrate together that March 8th is International Women's Day. And everyone is welcome!
