Rotterdam is the city where many cultures meet and interact. The city in which the Maritime Museum has been providing a space for meetings, telling and collecting the most beautiful stories for 150 years. The place that introduces you to one of Rotterdam’s most distinctive cultures, traditions and rituals on Museumnacht010: that of Cape Verde.
Experience an evening in which your senses will be fully stimulated. Let yourself be carried away by the rhythmic sounds and wonderful smells and flavors of the Cape. Experience a unique look into the cuisine of the Rotterdammer who comes from Cabo Verde.
Participate in dance and music workshops and be inspired by spoken word and personal stories. Of course you can visit the new exhibition Anchored?! with personal stories of migration by sea by ten young Rotterdam makers – not to be missed. We complete the evening with the annual pub quiz and a DJ.
