The best of German culture for the port city: the Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Goethe-Institut stands for international cultural cooperation and the knowledge of the German language abroad.

In its 2024 programme ‘Begegnungen – Ontmoetingen’, the Goethe-Institut Rotterdam focuses on artistic cooperation between people from the Free State of Saxony and the Netherlands. We want to stimulate curiosity about what was less known until now and forge ties across borders. The programme is supported by the Free State of Saxony as part of the ‘Simply Saxony’ campaign.
