THE LOVE I FORGOT TO GIVE | Poetry International

Let’s talk about a kind of love we don’t celebrate enough – not the kind you see in movies or hear about in love songs, but something deeper: the love we show to ourselves. On March 1st, join us at Museumnacht010 as we embrace love as a liberating practice and dive into its transformative power.

At the heart of the evening is an open mic featuring ten talented performers exploring the theme “The love I forgot to give.” Through raw stories and moving poems, they’ll reclaim self-love and celebrate the beauty of our imperfect, wonderful selves. Expect vulnerability, infectious energy, and moments that tug at your heartstrings, reminding you that self-love isn’t selfish, but it’s the foundation for every other kind of love.

You’ll also experience the “Love notes installation,” a personal way to reflect on self-love and gratitude. At your seat, you’ll find paper and pens to write messages of self-love, affirmations, or thank-yous to yourself. Later, hang your note on the tree of affirmation, a stunning centerpiece symbolizing this journey. Additional materials will be available at a nearby station for latecomers or passerby participants.
