The life story of artist Werner Berg can be read like a novel. All the ingredients are there: a talented protagonist with deep soul stirrings who leaves the bustling life of the big cities behind him, a great love and an impossible love, two world wars and a picturesque backdrop of the remote mountains in Carinthia. At the age of 26, Berg, together with his wife, consciously chose a life as a farmer and artist in the Austrian mountains. His work can now be seen in the Netherlands for the first time in collaboration with the Werner Berg Museum.
